Frequently Asked Questions

Reading these will help answer many before our phone call so we can focus on the uniqueness of you!

  • The first thing we want is for the call to be at the scheduled time. If we all agree that we’re going to make amazing music together, we will get things scheduled as quick as you’re ready!

From there, we will go through the onboarding process of how we can make things run smoothly for communication, file sharing, etc.

If you already have a solid idea for the song, we’ll start digging into it. If you don’t, we’ll start with finding a vision to build from!

From this point, we will prepare the recording process. If you already have preproduction files, we’ll import those and use them as an outline. If we have a blank canvas, we’ll start building from the ground up! Between each instrument we will edit the previous so that the sound is solid and tight.

Most times (but not all) we will start with scratch tracks - whatever the drummer needs to feel like they can give a solid performance. We then add the bass, then guitars, depending on the artist we may also add details or post production. We then do a quick mix to get it so the vocalist can feel confident with their performance and unleash them on the world!

After tracking and editing have been done, we prep the mix to knock it out of the park.

From here, we want to hear what you want more of, less of, and anything you need to make this song something special for your lifetime… and then some!

These can modify and change based on your needs, so if any of this doesn’t make sense, just talk to us so we keep on the same page!

  • We will walk you through this during our onboarding process. But to keep this simple, we would like individual stems from your demo or prepro, or if all you have is a phone recording, we’ll build from what you have!

  • You are alive during one of the greatest times in history for this question! We have a software that with a simple link on the web, we can stream for you to listen to in your own environment. We’ve got you covered!

  • In general, from the date of our first session, it can take 3-5 weeks for a single, 2-4 months for an EP, and 3-6 months for an album.

Note that this can change based on deadlines and budget!

  • We like to be direct and transparent. There are no additional charges unless you are asking for something extra outside of the scope of the initial package.

  • We can be there from the beginning helping flush the ideas out and/or we can also make changes as we go if new ideas come together. Typically, this question becomes clearer as we have our discussions.

We are here to ensure the song is the best it can be, so we hope that everyone is open to new ideas at any stage of the process!

  • There is no obligation, however we do recommend it if we all feel this is a good fit. We tend to be booked out, so if you choose to wait, time frames could shift and deadlines may need to be moved. A deposit are what allow us to black out our calendar!

  • Absolutely! Between our team and a solid network, you’re covered!

  • Each project can vary immensely on the amount of investment needed. You may have part of your own recordings that we are building from. Or it could be a voice memo to build a song from scratch.

With all of the variables, we can’t in good faith create a solution for your problem with an accurate investment without knowing it in detail.

This is why we start you with a form to fill out, then we hop on a phone call to find your specific needs so we know that we are taking care of you in the way you want to be taken care of!

  • Definitely not. If you are looking for quick and cheap, corner cutting, or someone that hits record and has more attention on their phone than your project, we are likely not for you.

If you are passionate and want to pull the best out of your music, then you are in the right place.

  • If we’re sticking to honest and transparency, if you are this far in, you have likely already tried the cheaper solutions and felt overwhelmed and frustrated, and that can sometimes be enough to give up on your art.

In the digital age, what you release will live longer than you will. Your family will be able to have this for generations to come. Do you want to be proud of that? Or to be disappointed that you stopped just short of the finish line?

Your song is a commitment. If you are building a new home, do you want to worry if the electrical and plumbing were done properly? Are you going to settle on the home that represents you poorly to the outside world? Your song may be a home to many. What do you want your legacy to be?

We don’t want to offer to take on your project unless we know it’s going to be a great fit. We want our collaboration to make all of our lives better. And the only way to find out is to hop on the call!

Thank you for taking the time to read through this, and we look forward to going on a deep dive with you on our call! Your next song could make all the difference…

- Josh
